Dit standpunt kwam tot stand in een werkgroep van de Klasse Technische Wetenschappen van de KVAB. Voorzitter van de werkgroep was dr. Ir. Egbert Lox, senior vice-president van Umicore, wereldspeler in materiaaltechnologie. De eindredactie van het standpunt berustte bij prof. em. dr. ir. Etienne Aernoudt van de KU Leuven, waar hij departementsvoorzitter was van MTM (materiaalkunde). Andere leden van de werkgroep waren ir. Dirk Fransaer, gedelegeerd bestuurder van VITO, de Vlaamse Instelling voor Technologisch Onderzoek, en prof. dr.Ir. Karel Van Acker, gewoon hoogleraar aan de KU Leuven, coördinator van het KU Leuven Materials Research Centre en hoofddocent duurzame materialen en processen.Reeds bij het begin van de jaren 70 van de vorige eeuw wees de ‘Club van Rome’ op de eindigheid van de natuurlijke rijkdommen van onze planeet. Dit veroorzaakte een schokeffect na de periode van ongebreidelde groei die de jaren ‘60 kenmerkte. De oliecrisissen van 1973 en 1979 bevestigden de analyse van de Club van Rome . Toen China in 2010 een embargo op de uitvoer van zeldzame aardmetalen instelde, ging een nieuwe schokgolf door de wereld: zeldzame aardmetalen, maar ook metalen als europium, gallium, indium,neodymium zijn van uitzonderlijk belang voor innovatieve ontwikkelingen in domeinen als de mobiele telefonie, de micro-elektronica en de elektrovoltaïsche zonnepanelen. Vele van deze metalen komen uit geopolitiek instabiele regio’s, waardoor ‘het Westen’ vroeg of laatmet bevoorradingsproblemen dreigt te maken te krijgen.Toch kan dit objectieve risico ook opportuniteiten inhouden voor een regio als Vlaanderen:recycling van de schaarse technologiemetalen uit gebruikte mobiele telefoons,LED-lampen, televisietoestellen, zonnepanelen enz.(“urban mining”) kan de kwetsbaarheid van de innovatieve industrie significant verminderen. Vlaanderen is een van de koplopers van deze zogeheten ‘circulaire economie’ en het wordt belangrijk om deze positie in de toekomst te behouden en liefst nog verder uit te bouwen.In dit standpunt wordt gepleit voor een doorgedreven participatie in de internationale mijnbouw, sensibilisering van de maatschappij voor onze kwetsbaarheid inzake grondstoffenbevoorrading, doorgedreven betrokkenheid bij de Europese kennis- en innovatiecommunity en investering in innovatieve technologieën voor het recyclen van schaarse metalen.

Qu'est-ce que l'inconscient? Ce n'est pas un théâtre, mais une usine, un lieu et un agent deproduction. Machines désirantes: l'inconscient n'est ni figuratif ni structural, mais machinique. Qu'est-ce que le délire? C'est l'investisement inconscient d'un champ social historique. On délire les races, les continents, les cultures.La schizo-analyse est à la fois l'analyse des machines désirantes et des investissements sociaux qu'elle opèrent. Qu'est-ce qu'Oedipe? L'histoire d'une longue erreur, qui bloquent les forces productives de l'inconscient, les fait jouer sur un théâtre d'ombres où se perd la puissance révolutionnaire du désir, les emprisonne dans le système de la famille. Le familialisme fut le rêve de la psychiatrie la psychanalyse l'accomplit, et les formes modernes de la psychanlyse et de la psychiatrie n'arrivent pas à s'en débarrasser. Tout un détournement de l'inconscient, qui nous empêche à la fois de comprendre et de libérer le processus de la schizophrénie.
